Kristen Farmer Hall was born in Dalton, Georgia and graduated from Northwest High School in 1995. She graduated with a bachelors degree in biology from Samford University in 1999, and then attended the UAB School of Public Health, where she graduated with a Masters in Public Health in 2001. Kristen spent the first few years after graduate school working in the field of public health, with specific interest in research translation and public health policy. She joined the staff of the UAB Lister Hill Center for Health Policy as Assistant Director in 2002.
In 2006, Kristen accepted the position of Associate Director of Development at the UAB Center for Palliative Care. This position allows her to combine her passion for engaging the community on public health issues with her love for people. Kristen is married and has just recently welcomed their first child, Emma.
In her spare time, Kristen creates fused glass jewelry and home accessories in a home studio.
