Jacqueline Westbrook, RN, was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi, but raised in Ozark, Alabama. She received her Bachelors Degree (1990) and Masters Degree (2002) in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
Jackie’s nursing career started at UAB on the Burns and Trauma Unit, since then she has worked on Urology, UAB Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and One Day Surgery as a staff nurse. She has also worked the Birmingham City Jail as a staff nurse. She has served as Nurse Manager at UAB for the past five years, which she is presenting functioning as nurse manager of UAB Palliative and Comfort Care Unit.
Jackie’s role as Nurse Manager includes dailymanagement of a 12-bed Palliative Care Unit, including personnel management, maintenance of revenue and expense budgets, ensuring quality patient care, relieves care manager as needed to provide discharge planning, and performs direct patient care when needed.
Jackie is married with 2 children. She lives in the Hoover area. She is involved in church and enjoys quality time with her family
