The UAB Center for Palliative Care has received funding from the Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA) for the Alabama Geriatric Education Center Grant Program. This program will train health professionals in medicine, nursing, physical therapy, psychology, dentistry and social work in the following Institute of Medicine identified priority areas: advanced illness, frailty, care coordination, symptom management, medication management, ethnogeriatrics, and health literacy/self management.
